The CMP Game Group has named during the current Games Developer Conference (GDC) in San Francisco the best games of last year. These awards are in the game industry particularly desirable because they are awarded to developers by developers and not by journalists or marketing people.
Valves puzzle game "Portal" is a big winner. The game secured the title of "Game of the Year", "Innovation and Best Game Design".
