Europe's largest trade show for computer and video games from Leipzig Games Convention attracts officially to Cologne.
The Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software (BIU) today officially announced that Europe's largest trade show is for computer and video games as expected move from Leipzig to Cologne. Here, the name of the show will change to GAMESCom because the name is one of the Leipzig Games Convention.
"We will conduct this event annually from 2009 in September," confirmed Managing Director of Koelnmesse Oliver Kuhrt. The reasons for the move are as previously announced, the easy access of the Cologne exhibition grounds to the transportation network.
Nevertheless, the Games Convention remain to leave as "fair competition" at the start. We are curious what to expect in the summer of 2009 in Cologne. Whether the GamesCom a success or a disappointment is because we will see you in September next year.
